About Our League
Founded in 1929, the Toronto Ladies Tennis League offers competitive doubles matches in Spring each year. The League operates two separate divisions. The Evening Division competes on Monday evenings with teams fielding four doubles pairs for each match. The Day Division plays on Wednesday mornings and teams field three doubles pairs for each match. Over forty Toronto tennis clubs are represented by more than 80 teams which means that about a thousand women enjoy League competition annually.

The League organizes, in partnership with Tennis Canada, the very popular Ladies Day at the Open. The Awards Banquet is another annual event. Details of both events can be found elsewhere on this site.

Ladies interested in playing in the League should look at the clubs listed under Club Locations. Contact a club near you to inquire about joining and trying-out for one of their teams. (Many clubs hold indoor tryouts in March/April). Alternatively, if you belong to a club which does not compete in the League, you could consider forming a new team. Contact the President for more information.
